Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the Shortcut menu > tap "Audio Settings" (the microphone-shaped icon) > select the "Auto Wind Noise Reduction - Strong" mode.

  1. Check for microphone obstruction

Check if accessories like a Utility Frame, protective case, or sticker are used on the camera. Ensure they do not obstruct the microphone (refer to the figure below for microphone location).

  1. Switch audio modes

Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the "Shortcut" menu > tap "Audio Settings" (the microphone-shaped icon) > select a different audio mode and record again to see if the issue has been resolved.

Scenario 3: No sound during video playback

No sound only during playback on the camera

Open the Album page, tap the "Volume" icon on the left, and check if it is accidentally set to "Mute".

No sound during playback on the camera and in post-production

If you used the Slow Motion, Timelapse or TimeShift mode while shooting, videos are muted by default. If your footage is shot in any these modes, it is normal to have no sound.

If the steps above don't resolve the issue, try restarting or resetting the camera:

  1. Restart the camera: Power off the camera, wait for 30 seconds, and then power it back on.
  2. Restore factory settings: Swipe down from the top of the camera screen to access the Shortcut menu > tap "Settings" (Gear icon ⚙) > tap "Factory Reset" > tap "Confirm".

If restarting the device or performing a factory reset does not resolve the issue, we recommend you apply for Insta360 Repair Service for professional diagnostics.
