GO Series: Blurry or Laggy Preview When Camera is Remotely Connected to Action Pod
GO Series: Blurry or Laggy Preview When Camera is Remotely Connected to Action Pod
Applicable Models: GO 3, GO 3S, and GO Ultra
Scenario 1: Environmental interference or excessive distance
Reason
- GO Ultra: When you take the camera out of the Action Pod for remote shooting, the image is transmitted between the camera and the Action Pod via Wi-Fi. In an open, interference-free environment, the transmission distance can reach approximately 98ft (30m). However, if there are obstacles or signal interference nearby, the image quality may degrade.
- GO 3S and GO 3: When you take the camera out of the Action Pod for remote shooting, the image is transmitted between the camera and the Action Pod via Bluetooth. In an open, interference-free environment, the transmission distance can reach approximately 16ft (5m). However, if there are obstacles or signal interference nearby, the image quality may degrade.
Solution
GO Ultra: It is recommended to keep the camera and the Action Pod within 33ft (10m) to improve image stability and clarity.
Scenario 2: Over-high stabilization level
Reason
Higher stabilization levels increase the real-time image processing load, which can introduce preview lag or blur.
Solution
It is recommended to lower the stabilization level appropriately for smooth preview performance.
Scenario 3: Real-time image quality compression
Reason
The Action Pod’s preview depends on real-time decoding, so images are compressed and delayed to some extent. This is normal and does not affect the final media quality.
Solution
You can export and view the media via the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio, where the image clarity will be significantly improved.
