The Battery Pack quickly charges the camera to boost battery life and extend shooting time. It can also be used with a variety of magnetic accessories for flexible adaptation to different shooting scenarios, meeting your outdoor, sports and other battery needs in multiple scenarios.

How to use the Battery Pack

Installing the Battery Pack

1. Press the latches on both ends of the Battery Pack, then attach GO 3 / GO 3S to the Battery Pack magnetically. Make sure the camera lens faces the same direction as the charging contacts of the Battery Pack.

1. Press the Battery Pack firmly into the camera until both latches click into place. The Battery Pack indicator will illuminate, confirming successful installation.

Using with accessories

The Battery Pack is compatible with Insta360 Quick Release Mount, Magnet Pendant, Vertical & Horizontal Action Mount Set and Magnet Pendant Safety Cord.

Please note:

• The camera, Quick Release Mount, Magnet Pendant, Vertical & Horizontal Action Mount Set, and Magnet Pendant Safety Cord are not included with the Battery Pack and must be purchased separately. You may purchase the corresponding accessories from official Insta360 sales channels. For detailed usage instructions, please refer to the user manual of each accessory.
• When attaching the Battery Pack to the Magnet Pendant, make sure the Battery Pack is positioned in the central area of the Magnet Pendant. The magnetic force is weaker at the edge, which may cause the Battery Pack to accidentally fall off. It is recommended to use it with the Magnet Pendant Safety Cord to reduce the risk of the camera falling.
• Thick clothing, windbreakers, quick-drying shirts, and other smooth fabrics may reduce the magnetic hold of the Magnet Pendant. The Battery Pack may detach due to fabric interference and gravity.
• Avoid pulling the Battery Pack straight off. Instead, slide it toward the edge of the Magnet Pendant for easy removal.
• The Magnet Pendant Safety Cord and Magnet Pendant contain cords. Children must use them under adult supervision to avoid the risk of strangulation or suffocation.
• The Magnet Pendant and Quick Release Mount contain magnets. Keep them away from pacemakers and other devices to avoid interference.

Removing the Battery Pack

Press the latches on both ends of the Battery Pack, then remove the camera directly.

Notes

• The indicator on the Battery Pack only shows its own battery level and is unrelated to the camera's shooting status. After attaching the camera to the Battery Pack, the indicator will still display the Battery Pack's power level even when it is not supplying power to the camera.
• The Battery Pack drains faster when powering a camera connected to the Insta360 app.
• Do not use an all-in-one charging cable to charge the Battery Pack. Its Type-C port supports charging only and does not support data transfer for camera files.
• Do not use the Battery Pack with the camera for shooting on a drone.
• The Battery Pack is splash-proof only. Do not use it underwater. If the product gets wet accidentally, dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth immediately to avoid damage.
• Do not use the Battery Pack in high-intensity sports scenarios to prevent accidental drops.

FAQ

1. Does the Battery Pack have a serial number?

Yes. The serial number is located on the back of the Battery Pack. When entering the serial number of Battery Pack on the Insta360 Website, please omit the last two digits.

2. What is the battery life of a standalone camera with the Battery Pack attached?

Tested in a 25°C lab environment with Wi-Fi set to "Auto," "Auto Screen Off During Recording" enabled, bitrate set to "High," and recording at 1080p@30fps:

• GO 3S's battery life: Approx. 76 minutes.
• GO 3's battery life: Approx. 90 minutes.

3. How long does it take to fully charge the Battery Pack?

It charges to 80% in 20 minutes and reaches full charge in 35 minutes.

4. How long does it take to charge the camera using the Battery Pack?

The Battery Pack alone cannot fully charge the camera. Use it with a power adapter and charging cable for optimal charging: 80% in 23 minutes, full charge in 35 minutes.

5. What is the power consumption logic when shooting with the Battery Pack attached?

During shooting, power is drawn from the Battery Pack first. The Battery Pack supplies power to the camera but does not charge it simultaneously.

6. Can the camera be attached to the Pocket Flexi Mount while in the Battery Pack?

No, it is not supported. Both the Battery Pack and the Pocket Flexi Mount use the camera's internal steel plate for attachment, so they cannot be magnetically connected to the camera simultaneously.
