Flow Series: Gimbal is Tilted or Skew

Flow Series: Gimbal is Tilted or Skew

Applicable Models: Flow, Flow Pro, Flow 2, and Flow 2 Pro

Description

Ensure the gimbal is in normal working condition (not in the low-battery mode or the sleep mode triggered by inactivity). Then, mount your phone to the gimbal via the Magnetic Phone Clamp or Magnetic Phone Mount and power on the device. Improper installation of the Magnetic Phone Clamp or Magnetic Phone Mount may cause obvious initial imbalance of the gimbal.

Solution

I. Adjust the phone clamp installation & gimbal mode

Mount the phone clamp or Magnetic Phone Mount to the correct position. Refer to the following installation methods for details. Switch the gimbal to the "AUTO" mode, and slide clockwise halfway around the black circular gimbal panel until the "AUTO" mode is activated. Unfold the tripod and place the gimbal on a level surface.

Please note: In the FPV mode, the Roll axis rotates automatically, and a slight tilt after a period of time is normal. If the gimbal is currently in the "FPV" mode, switch to the "AUTO" mode first.

  • Phone clamp installation method
    1. Confirm whether the phone clamp is accurately aligned with the gimbal's magnetic port. If not aligned, adjust its position until it fits perfectly.

Please note: For some specific phone models (e.g., OPPO Find X8 Pro), the camera is positioned higher up. When using the magnetic phone clamp, adjust its position to avoid overlapping with the phone's camera.
